Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated senior Machine Specialist to join our small team. The role is ideal for a CNC professional with leadership potential who is ready to take on greater responsibility and grow into a supervisory position as the business grows. Thus, we are seeking a committed team member who sees themselves growing within the Company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
- Operate CNC machines including loading materials into the machine/automation cell
- Conduct tool presetting, changes and replacements
- Monitor manufacturing process during operation to ensure it is producing quality parts
- Perform dimensional corrections for precision and efficiency in collaboration with supervisor
- Conduct regular CMM inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Ensure compliance with production requirements and documentation
- Initiate and monitor activities to ensure quality/audit compliance
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure their proper functioning
- Identify and report any machine malfunctions or irregularities.
- Maintain accurate records of shift, adjustments, and production quantities
- Execute production specific software tools (ERP system and Office tools etc.)
- Work closely with team members and assist with any other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or association degree in machining / manufacturing preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on CNC machine experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment. Experience with Chiron Machines, Robot Automation Cells, and Siemens Controls is preferred.
- Experience with quality control procedures and the use of precision measuring instruments is essential. Experience with Zeiss CMM preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Ability to use hand tools, forklifts, and gantry cranes.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor others, resolve production challenges, and lead by example.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. A self-starter willing to roll up your sleeves.
Compensation and Growth:
Pay Range: $23-$30 per hour, depending on skills and experience
